Founder & Clinical Director

Dr. Nathaniel McKay founded Eycon with a mission to elevate the standard of modern eyecare blending advanced diagnostics, specialty treatment, and aesthetics in a setting designed for comfort and personalization. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors and completed advanced residency training in ocular disease, where he developed a strong foundation in managing complex eye conditions and fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. McKay’s passion lies in treating dry eye disease, keratoconus, and ocular surface disorders, with a focus on customized scleral lens fittings and advanced in-office therapies including IPL and radiofrequency. In addition to medical eye care, he has led the integration of non-invasive facial aesthetics at Eycon, creating a truly holistic approach to vision, wellness, and confidence. Known for his thorough, empathetic approach, Dr. McKay takes time to educate and empower each patient — ensuring they feel seen, understood, and fully supported. He currently sees patients at both Eycon’s Washington, DC and Fort Washington, Maryland locations.
