Originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Dr. Nathaniel McKay is a proud graduate of Penn State University and Salus University, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree and completed advanced residency training in ocular disease. After more than a decade of experience working in ophthalmology settings and earning his Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, he founded Eycon with the vision of redefining the standard of modern eye care. Known for his warm and thoughtful approach, Dr. McKay takes the time to truly listen to his patients and believes strongly in patient education, helping individuals better understand their eye health and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their care. His clinical expertise includes advanced dry eye therapy, ocular surface disease management, and specialty contact lens fittings such as scleral lenses for keratoconus and other complex vision conditions. Dr. McKay also works closely with veterans through specialized medical examinations, reflecting his broader commitment to serving patients with compassion and integrity.
